I think this piece is cool due to the use of watercolor, its composition, and the way it suggests more in going on in the background landscape. The positive and negative space is used very well in this piece to suggest the shapes of the mushrooms. It's almost as if the mushrooms are growing on land separate from that of the land we see in the background. The composition of the artwork leads our eyes to the mushrooms and then out to the darker beyond. I love all of the muted colors used in this piece!
