I absolutely love this piece. I think it is so beautiful with all of the color, floral/forestry details, and masculinity/femininity. The pastels against black paper really bring out the figure created by elements of the forest behind it. You can even see animals throughout the body. I identify with this particular piece because I love and find so much comfort in all things natural, and I grew up with a love of the woods. To me, there are both masculine and feminine aspects of the forest - both are portrayed here. Protection and tranquility, peace and self-awareness are spoken through this artwork.
